1859: Uruguay 120c blue with thin numerals, showing three wide margins and only one slightly touched at top right, tied by clear strike of RED oval "MONTEVIDEO 22 JULIO 1859" on entire letter sent to Buenos Aires, Argentina. These stamps were issued on June 26 1859, the early usages are in general cancelled in red. ONLY ABOUT TEN COVERS ARE RECORDED OF THIS ISSUE WITH RED POSTMARK, of which few are with the 120c value. An attractive and fine single franking. Signed by the expert Pascal Scheller.
