Either an Ex Dealers stock or an over zealous, hoarding collectors accumulation, with tens of thousands of stamps presented in stock books, on stock book pages or in film fronted bags. Some of the stock books do have some logic to them and we see 1971-5 & 1974-83 mint & used defins, note better 10p types I & II NHM, stockbooks of commemorative issues in huge quantities with a panoply of sets, values to various £5 mint, nhm & used, coil strips nhm, gutter pairs nhm, nhm blocks of 4 to £1 values, machine labels, watermarked ranges, booklets, booklet panes, miniature sheets, perfins etc, duplicated throughout eg 1974-83 £1 nhm x 50+, a sprinkling of pre-decimal issues seen.
